: Ethical approval to conduct this study was granted by University of Zambia Biomedical Research Ethics Committee (REF. No. 6065 − 2024) in conformity and compliance with 1964 Helsinki Declaration. Permission was also approved by Monze district health office, the custodian of data as mandated by Ministry of Health to have access to COVID – 19 data. The data were handled with high degree of privacy and confidentiality throughout the study. No primary data were collected for this study and any information that could be used to identify individuals was removed. A waiver on the informed consent of participants was granted by University of Zambia Biomedical Research Ethics Committee because the study only involved review of secondary data.
