: Ethical clearance was obtained from the University of Gondar Ethical Review Board. The ethical clearance was presented to the Armour Hanssen Research Institute (AHRI)/ALERT Ethics Review Committee and the Research Ethical Review Committee Office of St. Peter’s Specialized Hospital. The ethical clearance obtained from AHRI/ALERT Ethics Review Committee and the Research Ethical Review Committee Office of St. Peter’s Specialized Hospital were submitted to the medical directors and then to the department heads of Internal Medicine of both hospitals. Data was collected after we obtained oral informed consent. Personal identifiers were removed. All the information collected was kept confidential. This study was conducted according to the ethical principles of the Helsinki declaration of 1964.
