: This retrospective cohort study was conducted using data from patients who met the WHO case definition of the influenza-like illness (ILI) at the Robert Mugabe Clinic, Windhoek, between October 2021 and December 2023. The study obtained regulatory approval from the Namibian MoHSS Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC; Ref:22/4/3). It involves retrospective analysis of laboratory test results without any direct interventions on patients. Data was extracted from the Laboratory Information System and subsequently anonymized. As approved by the Namibia MoHSS HREC, no individual consent was needed as anonymized laboratory data were used. This study was conducted in full compliance with the ethical principles outlined in the Declaration of Helsinki.
