The electronic records of primary healthcare encounters used in this study were all desensitized aggregate data extracted from the province-wide data centre of Anhui Province and none of the research team had access to information that could identify individual participants. So, patient informed consent was not required or provided. Additionally, the Ethics Committee of Anhui Medical University has reviewed and determined that signed patient consent forms are not necessary for this study.
