: The Burkina Faso National Programme for Neglected Tropical Diseases received approval from the National Ethics Committee to conduct the epidemiological evaluations. Data were collected using WHO-identification cards, and anonymity was maintained. Prior to initiation of the surveys, the study was explained to the target populations in an informational session. After this informational session, free and informed consent was obtained from all participants aged 18 years and older. In the case of participants under the age of 18, a parent’s or a guardian’s free and informed consent was obtained. All participants found to be microfilaria positive were treated with ivermectin. The National Programme for Neglected Tropical Diseases keeps the data confidential at Ministry of Health. Access to the data is restricted to the programme coordinator and the data manager. This study was conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki.
