After the study protocol was reviewed and approved by the Institutional Review Board (IRB) of Bahir Dar University, ethical clearance was obtained from Bahir Dar University. The requirement for informed consent was waived by the Institutional Review Board (IRB) of Bahir Dar University, as the study utilized anonymized secondary data in compliance with national research ethics regulations. Permission letter was obtained from the Amhara Public Health Institute and submitted to the Public Health Emergency Management (PHEM) directorate, diseases surveillance team at Amhara Public Health Institute to access and utilize the measles surveillance data after de-identification and anonymization.
