: This study was conducted in accordance with the guidelines of the Declaration of Helsinki and was approved by the institutional review boards of the Academy of Military Medical Science (IRB number: AF/SC-08/02.343). It was determined by the National Health Commission of China that the collection of data on chikungunya fever cases was part of continuing public health surveillance of an emerging infectious disease to control the outbreak, and informed consent was waived. All the data of cases used in this study were anonymized and the identity of any individual case cannot be uncovered.
