: The research was carried out with adherence to the ethical principles of the Declaration of Helsinki and was approved by the National Ethics Committee for Health Research in Senegal (CNERS), under protocol SEN20/08, validated on April 6, 2020. Informed consent is not required for routine surveillance in Senegal (4S network), but for surveillance of arboviruses and hemorrhagic fever virus infections, informed consent was obtained in writing from all adults or parents of minors included in this study. Field investigations were regularly supervised by the authorities of the Senegalese Ministry of Health and Social Action.
