The study was awarded a waiver of consent by the “Research Ethics Committee” of “National Bioethics Committee“(Ref: No.4–87/NBC-470/COVID01-/20) and there is also international precedence from WHO and ISARIC that this type of observational and evaluative study does not require individual patient consent.
