: This study was conducted in full compliance with national biosafety and ethical research standards. The study protocol was first reviewed and approved by the Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) of the National Institute of Health, the KDCA (Approval No. KCDC-IBC-20-030). Use of genetically modified M.tb strains was authorized by the KDCA, the national competent authority for Living Modified Organism (LMO) research under the Act on Transboundary Movements of LMO (Approval No. 20-RDM026). Additionally, all animal procedures were carried out under Biosafety Level 3 (BSL-3) conditions and were approved by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) of the KDCA (Approval No. KCDC-IACUC-21-009).
