: Ethical approval for this study was obtained from the University of Ghana, college of health Sciences (CHS) Ethics and protocol review committee (EPRC) (reference number:CHS-Et/M.11- P4.2/2022–2023). The research was conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki’s ethical principles for medical research involving human participants. Verbal informed consent was obtained from the community members and village leaders prior to sampling, as approved by the University of Ghana, College of Health Sciences (CHS) Ethics and Protocol Review Committee (EPRC). For the household and farm surveys, the study was explained to, and verbal consent was obtained from participants before recruitment into the study. Confidentiality of respondents was maintained by anonymizing data and securely storing the dataset in password-protected files.
