: Ethical approval was obtained from the Institutional Review Committee (IRC) of BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS), Dharan, with Ref no: IRC/1981/020. An original copy of the ethical approval has been submitted as related files. Prior to the beginning of the study, informed consent was obtained from all participants. For those under 18, informed consent was also obtained from the DOTS center for individuals residing at the TB center and from parents or legal guardians for those visiting the DOTS center daily. For any participant under the age of 16, informed consent to participate was provided by their parent or legal guardian. Their privacy, anonymity, and confidentiality were rigorously maintained throughout the study. Permission to conduct the research was also obtained from the National Tuberculosis Control Centre, Bhaktapur. The participants’ identities were anonymised in all study records, and data confidentiality was ensured in accordance with ethical standards.
