Informed consent was further obtained from all participants. All experimental protocols were additionally approved by the Iran National Committee for Ethics in Biomedical Research with the code no. IR.AJAUMS.REC.1400.071, ensuring adherence to the guidelines set forth by this committee. Furthermore, the study followed relevant international clinical practice guidelines for radiofrequency ablation of benign thyroid nodules, to ensure the ethical conduct of the research and protection of human subjects.
