Ethics approval and consent to participate: All procedures involving human participants were approved by the Institutional Review Boards of Liang Ping People’s Hospital of Chongqing and the National Cancer Center, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical College. The study was conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki and relevant national regulations. The requirement for informed consent was waived by the approving Institutional Review Boards because the study involved retrospective analysis of de-identified archival human kidney specimens with no direct patient contact. All animal experiments were reviewed and approved by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee of Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University (No.WP20220481) prior to study initiation. All procedures involving vertebrate animals were conducted in accordance with institutional guidelines and national regulations for the care and use of laboratory animals.
