: The study protocol was approved by the Ethics Committee of Babol University of Medical Sciences (IR.MUBABOL.HRI.REC.1398.132). In the qualitative phase of the study, the interviews were recorded with the written consent of the participants (patients with epilepsy). In both phases of the study, the objectives were explained to all the samples and all of them were given the right to withdraw from the study and all of them were assured that their information would not be disclosed in the research report. The code was used for the texts of the interviews and the participants were not named. To ensure confidentiality, participants’ statements were not discussed with other members of the research team.
