: The study was conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki and approved the Norwegian Regional Committee for medical and health research ethics (2013/410/REK Sør-Øst). All participants were adults diagnosed with MCI at time of inclusion. The study procedures, potential risks (considerer minimal for this intervention), and potential benefits were thoroughly explained to each participants in clear, accessible language. Participants were given written information, ample time to ask questions, and consider their participation before providing written informed consent. All individuals included in the study were judged by the assessing clinician to able to give informed consent for participation in the study.
