: This study was conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki. Ethical clearance with reference number SOM/1519/2022 was obtained from the Institutional Review Committee of the University of Gondar. A letter of cooperation was obtained from the Human Physiology Department and each referral hospital. Written informed consent was obtained from each study participant. Privacy and confidentiality were maintained, and information obtained from the participants was stored in a computer password. Data were collected using a standard protocol for COVID-19.
