Ethics approval and consent to participate: The study was approved by the Regional committee for medical and health research ethics in Norway (REK; reference number 524214), the national research ethics authority, and was conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki and applicable Norwegian legislation. Written informed consent was obtained from all participants prior to inclusion. Patient recruitment and interviews were conducted by a medical student from the research group under the supervision of a senior consultant neurologist. Participation in the study did not affect the patients’ standard treatment.
