: The study received ethical approval from the Institutional Review Board of icddr,b and Save the Children US Ethical Review Committee. The survey was conducted following ethical principles of research with human participants(eg. Helsinki declaration).Our data collectors took informed written consent from the study participants (recently delivered women with a birth outcome in the past 15 months preceding survey) for data collection. They read out the consent forms in Bangla and explained every section such as the purpose of the survey, risks, benefits, use of data, procedures for ensuring privacy and confidentiality, and the voluntary nature of participation to the study participants. Data collection began upon receiving informed written consent.
