: All methods employed in this study were carried out in accordance with appropriate guidelines. The study is a secondary analysis of 2018 Nigeria Demographic and Health Survey data. The survey protocol was approved by the ICF Review Board (ICF IRB FWA00000845) in the United States, and the National Health Research Ethics Committee of Nigeria (NHREC/01/01/2007). Participants in the survey provided both written and verbal informed consent. In households where a minor such as age 16 or less was selected for an interview, verbal and written informed consent was provided either by the head of household or by the male partner if married. A brief concept of the study was submitted to Measure DHS for the purpose of obtaining authorization to access the data. Authorization was granted via a document from ICF. No additional ethical approval was sought since the data analyzed is available in the public domain. Besides, analyses carried out in the study were in anonymous form with no link to any individual, family, or community.
