We followed all the ethical precepts established in the Declaration of Helsinki and Brazilian regulations for research with human beings. The data were obtained under authorization from the Directorate of Epidemiological Surveillance of Bahia (Diretoria de Vigilância Epidemiológica da Bahia). To preserve identified data confidentiality and privacy, only the main researcher, who is also an epidemiological surveillance professional, accessed and processed them. The dataset linkage was done in a safe environment (a computer with a Kaspersky Total Security antivirus and VPN connection). After this procedure, all identification attributes of the participants were excluded.
