: The present study was approved by the Ethics Committee of Zahedan University of Medical Sciences, Iran (IR.ZAUMS.REC.1402.152). All participants were assured that participation in the study was voluntary and that they could withdraw from the study at any time. They were informed that the details of the questionnaire responses would remain confidential. To respect all participants, one month after the counseling intervention, members of the control group received all the educational materials in the form of brochures.
