: Since the study was an analysis of data collected retrospectively, consent to participate in the study was not required. And this consent was removed by the examination committee of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Niamey. However, access to the patients’ files was only possible after approval by this review committee which, after approving the study, forwarded the application for research authorization n° 000887/UAM/FSS/SS of August 25, 2023, to the Regional Director of Public Health of Maradi. Then, the examination committee of the regional directorate of public health of Maradi, in response to the request, issued us the research authorization n°00/CSME/2023. Verbal consent from department heads was also obtained prior to accessing patient records and registries. The data collected was treated strictly confidentially and was only used for the purposes of our study. We have ensured strict compliance with medical confidentiality.
