: Ethical approval for this research was granted by the Health Studies and Research Approval Committee (HSRAC) of the Ministry of Health Oman prior to the de-identified data collection task. An ethics exemption approval was also obtained from RMIT University (review reference: 2024–27730-23891). As per Sect. 5.1.17 in the national statement (2023), the research is eligible for exemption from ethics review because it involves a collection of de-identified data and no attempt to identify any personal information related to the collected sample. In addition, the research was categorised as a lower risk to participants or the community. The need for consent to participate was waived by the Health Studies and Research Approval Committee (HSRAC) of the Ministry of Health Oman that also is the administrative body established to protect the rights and welfare of human research subjects.
