: The Research and Ethics Committee at Faculty of Medicine, Kandahar University waived the ethical application because secondary data from the Afghanistan Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS) 2022–2023 were used and analyzed in this study. For the MICS 2022–2023, consent to proceed with the interviews was obtained from all participants. For children, informed consent was obtained from their parents or other caretakers. Moreover, all methods in MICS survey were conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki.
