: The study protocol was retrospective research approved by the Ethics Committee of the Maternal and Child Health Hospital of Hubei Province ([2023] IEC [029]. All included women signed written informed consent for VD at admission and consent for CD for those who underwent intrapartum CD. A waiver for the requirement of informed consent for the patients whose records were analyzed was granted by the chair of the committee on the grounds that the study posed minimal risk. The study protocol was retrospective research design and was approved by the Ethics Committee of the Maternal and Child Health Hospital of Hubei Province ([2023] IEC [029]. All included women provided written informed consent for VD at admission and consent was also obtained for CD in cases where intrapartum CD occurred. A waiver for the requirement of informed consent for the patients whose records were analyzed was granted by the chair of the committee, as the study was deemed to pose minimal risk to participants.
