: Ethical approval was obtained by the Regional Committees for Medical and Health Research Ethic in Norway, reference number 635016. The study was conducted in accordance with research ethical principles in the Declaration of Helsinki []. All recruited women received written and verbal information about the purpose of the study as well as the possibility to withdraw at any time without any negative consequences. A written consent to participate was obtained from all participants. Anonymity and confidentiality were ensured, as well as secure data storage. The local authority on confidentiality issues was consulted and approved the project.

: GH has been a part of the team implementing EAC in the study hospital and in Norway. She is the founder and CEO of ExAC, a company that has developed a manikin that allows practicing on uterine massage and EAC. ExAC provide teaching and practical training on EAC at hospitals and educational institutions in Norway and is partner in international research on EAC. Involvement of a research team, not involved in the company, support the trustworthiness of the study findings. ACLL has conducted research alongside ExAC’s implementation of EAC, but has not received any reimbursements of any kind, and hereby declare no conflict of interest.
