: The study was approved by the Ethics Committee of Alborz University of Medical Sciences with code (IR.ABZUMS.REC.1402.241) and registered in the Iranian Clinical Trials Registry with NO (IRCT20231209060304N1) in 2024/2/20. The study was conducted in accordance with the Helsinki Declaration. The participants received written and oral information about the study and provided written informed consent. They were free to decline participation or to withdraw at any time. Also, all support persons were informed about the study’s purpose and ensured that they were fully aware of their role and the nature of the psychosocial counseling provided to the mothers. Cultural factors significantly influenced both participant engagement and the delivery of our intervention. It was essential to recognize and incorporate these factors into the design and implementation of the study to create a supportive environment that encouraged participation. This study design and reporting followed the principles of the CONSORT 2010 statement for randomized controlled trials.
