: Before data collection, ethical approval and clearance to conduct the study were obtained from the Institutional Review Board (IRB) of Jimma University, Institute of Health, with reference number JUIH/IRB/455/23. An official letter of permission was obtained from each hospital. Written informed consent was obtained from each mother before participation in the study, following a comprehensive explanation of the study’s objectives. Privacy and confidentiality were maintained throughout the interview process. The interviewee’s name and address were not recorded in the questionnaire. The right to refuse participation or withdraw from the study at any time was fully respected. The questionnaire used for the interview took an average of 30 min to complete.
