Each participant enrolled in the study is treated according to what is morally right and proper. After complete disclosure, a signed written informed consent statement is obtained from each subject. If the subject agrees to participate in the study, they sign the consent form or provide an impression of their thumb. For endoscopy and supplement intervention, a separate consent form is used and the aforementioned procedure is followed. The consent form for endoscopy clearly and fully describes, and demystifies, all aspects of the process, including the risks related with the procedure.
