: The study was approved by the Research Ethics Committee of the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil (CAEE: 65052722000005404), and authorised by the management of the participating maternity hospital.All participants provided informed consent prior to the interviews. Confidentiality was ensured through the use of alphanumeric codes, and interviews were conducted in a private setting. Participants were informed that they could withdraw from the study at any time and that psychological support would be available if needed.All participants gave verbal and written consent. The study complied with the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki and the Brazilian national regulations on research involving human subjects.
