: A support letter was provided by the School of Nutrition, Food Science and Technology, Hawassa University Ref.no. SNFST/753/2019. The ethical clearance and permission was obtained from the Somaliland Health office. Then, a letter was written from Somaliland health office to selected health facilities. Written consent was obtained from the pregnant women that were followed antenatal care in the health facilities.
