Ethics approval and consent for publication: Ethical clearance was obtained from Wachemo University College of Medicine and Health Sciences Institutional Review Board (IRB) (Ref No: WCU/SGS/571/16, dated 14/01/2016 E.C.). Since this was a retrospective study, informed consent from participants was not required, as there was no direct contact with patients and the data were collected from medical records. The IRB waived the requirement for informed consent for this study. Permission and a cooperation letter were obtained from the hospital administration and communicated to the relevant wards and departments prior to data collection. To ensure confidentiality, unique identification codes and medical record numbers were used instead of patient names or other personal identifiers. All procedures were conducted in accordance with the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki.
