Ethics approval and consent to participate: This study which was conducted in accordance with the ethical principles of the Declaration of Helsinki received ethical clearance from the Institutional Review Board (KBTH-RIB000233/2022) of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospitals prior to commencement. Permission was obtained from the medical directorate and the obstetrics and gynecology department of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital to collect data from pregnant women. Written informed consent was obtained from all study participants.
