Ethics approval and consent to participate: Ethical approval was granted by the Health and Social Sciences Ethics Panel of the Faculty of Health Studies, University of Bradford for this study with Ethics Application reference E775. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the nationwide lockdown in the UK, further approval was sought to adopt virtual semi-structured interviews instead of a face-to-face one. An approval email from the Chair of the Research Ethics Panel of the University of Bradford was received on June 18, 2020, for the changes requested. This primary study was conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki. All forced migrant fathers in this study were taken through and issued an appropriate informed consent form to sign before participating in this study without coercion.
