Ethics approval and consent to participate: Ethical approval was obtained from the Mbale Regional Referral Hospital Research and Ethics Committee (MRRH-REC), approval number MRRH-2022-199. Before collecting data, written informed consent was obtained from all participants. Participation in the study was voluntary, and participants were informed of their right to withdraw at any time. Written informed consent was obtained from adult participants aged 18 years and older. For participants under 18 years of age, written assent was obtained in addition to written informed consent from their parent or guardian. The study protocol and conduct adhered to the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki and good clinical practice (GCP).
