: The xenograft study described in the present paper was approved by the Michigan State University Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) (AUF# 07/12–127-00). Tumor tissue was used to establish the cell line from a client owned dog at post-mortem examination, with owner’s written consent. The use of left over specimens was approved by IACUC, through an IACUC exemption form.
