: Mice were housed in pathogen-free conditions at the Central Animal Care Facility of the Université de Sherbrooke (Quebec) and the Animal Care Veterinary Service facility of the University of Ottawa (Ontario). All studies and manipulations performed on animals were conducted in accordance with university guidelines and approved by the Animal Care Committee at both universities. Human whole blood was collected (CIPO study, #2017–1506 approved by the ethics board of CIUSSS de l’Estrie CHUS. Informed and written consent to participate in this study was obtained from all participants.
