Ethics approval and consent to participate
: The studied cases comprise multiple cancer tissue microarrays which were purchased from a company and therefore do not require an ethics approval for their use.The thyroid samples consist of a retrospective study approved by the “Ethics Committee in Research from Hospital AC Camargo” (#1259/09-C). The original samples had been obtained by written informed consent of the patients. They agreed that the tissues are maintained in the “biobanco” (=“BioBank”) of Cancer Hospital AC Camargo and made available to researchers.
