: The patients will receive information about the study from a physician and research nurse and provide written informed consent if they choose to participate. The treatment regimen will follow Swedish national guidelines and will not be affected by study participation. For participation in the autopsy study, patients are given separate information when they are in a later palliative stage, when under care by specialized palliative care unit, and provide a separate written consent. The application (2024-07592-01) for ethical permission has been approved by the Swedish Ethical Research Authority. The study protocol complies with the Helsinki declaration.
