: Primary malignant oral tumor and adjacent normal tissue samples were collected during surgery with written informed consent from all the individuals diagnosed with oral cancer or their kins at the Saroj Gupta Cancer Centre & Research Institute (SGCC&RI), Kolkata. The study was approved by the Institutional Ethics Committee of SGCC&RI under the regulation of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Govt. of India (Registration No. ECR/250/Inst/WB/2013/RR-20).
