: The research project entitled “Cultivation of limbal stem cells on poly-tetra-fluoro-ethylene (PTFE) scaffold, transplantation in patients with limbal stem cell deficiency (LSCD) and study of the effect of transplantation on visual acuity and improvement of eye surface condition” was approved by both Shiraz University of Medical Sciences (approval number: IR.SUMS.REC.1398.1327) and Iranian Registry of Clinical Trials (approval number: IRCT20180724040574N1). The registration date of this project was on May 6th 2020 and the study was conducted between June 2020 and June 2021.Informed written consent was obtained from the donors and participants.
