Ethics approval and consent to participate
: This study was reviewed and approved by the Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU)-IRB Student Research Projects (SRP) Committee, (#MBRU-IRB-SRP2018–029). In all cases, parents signed a consent form at the time of their child’s hospital registration. The collection of paired swabs constitutes part of the child healthcare process, which is covered by the above general consent. Hence no separate consent was sought from parents at the time of sample collection.
