: Ethical clearance was obtained from the Institutional Review Board of Addis Ababa University, College of Health Sciences, School of public health, with reference number SPH/1119/13. All methods were carried out in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations (Declaration of Helsinki). Permission to conduct the study was obtained from the regional Health office, and a formal letter was submitted to the selected health facilities. We contacted the medical officer and professional in charge of the TFU to secure their permission and gather essential information related to the study. Informed written consent was obtained from each study participant (from the child’s parents or guardian), after a detailed explanation of the study objectives, and the right to withdraw from the study at any time. For under-aged participants (< 18 years), the permission was taken from their guardians/husband with informed written consent. Privacy and confidentiality of study participants were maintained by making the data abstraction form anonymous.
