: Ethical approvals were not deemed necessary for secondary data analysis. However, for the original survey, ethical approvals were obtained from the International ethical approval from the Population Council’s Institutional Review Board (IRB) in New York. Federal approval was obtained from the ethics committee of PGIMER in Chandigarh. As per the survey, consent/assent was requested before conducting the interviews. For children aged 0–10 years, informed consent was obtained only from parents/caregivers, while both informed consent from parents/caregivers for adolescents aged 11–17 years and assent from adolescents aged 11–17 years was obtained, and only informed consent was obtained from adolescents aged 18–19 years. All experiments were performed in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations per the Declaration of Helsinki.
