: This research study followed the relevant guidelines and regulations of the Declaration of Helsinki. The study was approved and registered by the Ethics Committee of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences (IR.SBMU.MSP.REC.1401.060). The study mainly used the microbial isolates from the blood samples obtained during the routine patients’ clinical diagnosis and management and had no threat to the subjects’ rights and health. According to the teaching hospital’s regulations, all guardians or parents of children signed an informed consent form at admission time. All the data in this study were collected retrospectively and no additional sampling and medical interventions were done for the patients during the study period. The need for consent to participate was deemed unnecessary for the current study by the Institutional Review Board according to national regulations (SBMU-PIRC-2022-05-10).

To analyze the laboratory and demographic data, the guardians or parents of children signed an informed consent form at admission time according to the hospital regulations. No personal or clinical details of participants are presented that compromise anonymity.
