: This work was approved by the Research and Research Ethics Boards of the National Institute of Pediatrics, Mexico City, (Approval No. 2022/031; IRB00008064 and IRB00008065, NIH Office for Human Research Protections, ) , according to the principles of the Helsinki Declaration. A copy of the approvals is available upon request. The study was considered to be of minimal risk, as it consisted only of a survey of mothers about breastfeeding, without risk to the life or functioning of the participants. Interviews were performed at no cost. Written informed consent was obtained from parents or guardians. The informed consent process and the objectives of the study were explained to the mothers and their questions were answered. It was explained that the decision to participate or not to participate would not affect the care they received. Names and other personal information not relevant to the study were not used, and all information collected was securely stored by the researchers.

: The questionnaire was made to mothers of patients under 5 years of age to increase the probability of them remembering every detail. Some of them, may not remember exactly what the feeding was like.
