: This study was approved by the Ethics Committee of the Jakaya Kikwete Cardiac Institute (JKCI) (#AB.123/307/01H/40) and followed the ethical guidelines of the 1975 Declaration of Helsinki. All parents or legal guardians in the study signed a written informed consent before participation. As patients were minors, parental written consent and verbal assent of the child over four years of age were sufficient for participation after carefully explaining the study. The physical records are stored at the Jakaya Kikwete Cardiac Institute, Department of Pediatric Cardiology. Data was stored with encrypted personal information to secure patient confidentiality.
