Ethics approval and consent to participate: This descriptive and cross-sectional study was approved by the research ethics committee of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. The research followed the guidelines of Resolution No. 466/12 of the National Health Council, which regulates ethical standards for research involving human subjects, and it adhered to the Declaration of Helsinki (2013), which establishes ethical principles for research involving human participants. Parents and/or legal guardians of all children signed the informed consent form. When appropriate for age, children provided verbal assent. Thus, every human participant in this study provided their consent.
