No: IHRPGN/1204/24, dated 20 June 2024) and was employed in accordance with the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki. It also followed to the national ethical standards set by the Ethiopian Science and Technology Commission (ESTC). Written informed consent was acquired from parents or guardians prior to participation. Consistent with national guidelines, children who tested positive for intestinal parasites were referred to the nearby health center to take free standard treatment.
